Tip Tuesday

This week's tip is about protecting your hands and nails while cleaning!

Lots of ladies wear rubber gloves to protect their hands while cleaning but after a while hands and nails get damp inside the gloves.  Hands get sweaty and dehydrated.  Nails get soft and weak.  Nail polish wears away at the tips or chips. There is a trick to avoiding all this!

Please read on after the jump for photos and all the details!

One winter my hands got chapped so I bought a pair of cotton gloves to use with moisturizing treatments at night.  When cleaning day came around my hands were still chapped so. . .

 I applied my hand cream.
 Put on my cotton gloves.
Put my rubber cleaning gloves over my cotton gloves.

I was amazed at the difference the cotton gloves made so I kept wearing them every time I cleaned.  They kept my nails from getting soft & weak while providing awesome protection for my skin.  They also kept my polish looking pretty - no more cleaning tipwear!  :D

I got my cotton gloves from Whole Foods beauty aisle.  They can be washed and dried just like cotton socks so toss 'em in the laundry when the cleaning is all done.

Stay tuned for next week's tip!  Thanks so much for reading!  <3

  4. Great idea, I have a couple from Essence of Beauty (CVS brand) they are 100% cotton and they were very cheap. I use mine for driving (Cali sun) but now I'll use the other pair for this! Thank you.

P.S.: love the photos in this post.
